"AMASC update from new Sacred Heart Primary School in Uganda"

December 2004
The school completed its second year with 135 happy children. For Christmas they prepared lovely carols which they sang for the seminarians across the road and for our secondary school students down the country road a bit. This year the First Communion Mass and reception did not take place outside where the visitors had to dodge hot sun and intermittent rains. It took place in the recently completed multipurpose building.

We were able to complete this project thanks to our wonderful Sacred Heart family around the world. Looking toward 2005 we plan to add a Fifth Grade class and other new students bringing our enrollment close to 200. We also anticipate developing our mixed farm (already 70% funds secured) and construction of housing for the RSCJ who must move out of the classrooms and the other school teachers (10%).

For further details you may check the www.sofie.org, the USA Sacred Heart Network of Schools webpage, or write me to be put on the yearly newsletter list or e-mail updates.

I offer God my prayers of gratitude for your support and interest. Blessing on your New Year.
